Before you start readin' 'bout life in Hen-retta, Texas, USA, population 2,896, it's important that you understand that I am not making fun of my roots in these stories.
I'm just, as my Momma says, "tellin' it like it is..." Life in small-town Texas is full of weird little quirks that I never noticed until I left for a while and suddenly, when I got home, found myself saying, "Owe MY GAWD! That's HILARIOUS!!!"
The quirks make home "HOME" -- they make me answer the question, "Where are you from?" with "Texas" 'cause sayin' that I'm just American jist cain't 'splain my roots... I grew up in small-town Texas. I cain't have nobody confusin' me with one of them weird northerners. : )
